![]() I'd just had my booster-shot, so was probably fizzing with antibodies, and despite the close quarters we kept I experienced no symptoms and had negative daily test results. ![]() And we staved off the actual virus until November, when both children and my wife came down with it. Schools were disrupted which meant homeschooling our two children at various times, and that did affect my wife's and my work (and earnings), but we did not have it as bad as I know many did. ![]() Our own household has not been hit too hard. ![]() Of course, it's not over yet, and in the UK we are currently witnessing the worst wave yet - though not with the previous high level of deaths - thank you vaccines, scientists and health-workers (no thanks, Tory government). Optimism also as human ingenuity through the power of science came through with several effective vaccines against the virus that has caused so much misery and death. Switch is a Cisco SG300 and both machines are configured identically on the switch side. It's a cliché and also true of every year as you get older - but, boy, 2021 zoomed by, didn't it? Of course, it's been another eventful year and again, not in the best way, though it did start with some optimism as the worst US President ever left office in utter disgrace, hopefully never to return (fingers crossed). It's obviously not really impacting anything that I can tell, I was just curious if anyone knew what was going on underneath the covers. Only obvious differences is that "TSO4" capability. Sadly, there's no "bond" manpage in OS X. On both machines the aggregated link is "bond0" in ifconfig. ![]() I'm also curious what the actual operational difference is between the two. Otherwise they behave similarly.ĭoes anyone know what causes one to be "Linked" and one to be "Bonded?" I assume it has to do with the capabilities of the underlying ethernet chipset in each respective machine. On my old Mac Pro (3,1) in System Preferences the aggregated interface lists as "Bonded Ethernet" but on my new Mac Pro (6,1) the interface shows as "Linked Ethernet." Otherwise they seem the same, although I had weird DHCP-related problems on the oMP (bonded) and had to go to a manual IP address assignment to resolve it. I've got ethernet bonding set up on both of my Mac Pros and I just noticed something for the first time. ![]()
